DKYF003: Moscow - Hyaline EP PRESS
DKYF002: Boss Kite - Comicon EP PRESS ______________________we’ve been big fans of mr tank for a wee while now; it all started back when his tracks started to creep into sluga’s dj sets a year or more ago. these days he’s a superstar or something, getting airplay all over the bbc radio stations. big. up. bobby.
here’s a lil freebee he uploaded in the last few days
oooffttt. love this tune. head over to the lowriders blog to bag it for free.
stream the moresounds’ ‘breath control ep’ below, it’s out on monday via om unit’s cosmic bridge imprint
this is a special week for us. we dropped our 5th record on monday, keyboard kid’s ‘transition ep’, and slugabed dropped his debut album on ninja tune on the same day. double pow. tonight. we party.
catch sluga, myself and pete pitch (and possbily senior ghost mutt) broadcasting live for 3 hours, between 7 and 10 pm bst, on hivemind and/or u stream.
a few weeks ago we took dazed & confused on a tour of our favourite spots in brighton. green door store, jazz place, the bomb, the marwood, endless records & planet india.
they made this dope 3 minute film…
another beaut produced by ryan hemsorth, with deniro farrar, shady blaze & st 2 letterz on the mic. download via the fader
this guy is rapid. no sooner has his prey been uploaded to the internets and he’s on it with his chops and screws. previous subjects are a$ap, shlohmo X drake, d33j X sigur ros, and now this freddie gibbs track (which is my fave so far).
you can now pre-order our next record, a five track ep from seattle’s keyboard kid. furthermore if you pre-order the vinyl you’ll get the digital straight away, a week outside of official release date. fact made in official. click the buttons below to purchase.
oh jeez. i love the original of little red corvette and this version friendzone just uploaded to soundcloud captures all of the mood of that perfectly, yet still making a totally new track. so heavy. killer synths. killer all over.
if you can believe everything the internet tells you i am the only person in the world who doesn’t like the new jai paul tune. fortunately this edit from exeter is much better; injects some umph. stream below, download here
you really get what it says on the tin here; miami nights 1984 aren’t pretending. this is 80s drums, new order synthlines, fade outs, fade ins, shoulder pads, bad haircuts… the works. and great for it. *insert bad eighties pun here and press play*
Ever get that feeling you’ve stumbled upon someone on the verge of big things? SELA is once such discovery. For cloud rap fans, that Main Attrakionz, Ryan Hemsworth and the A$AP Mob have shown an interest in the 18 year old producer speaks volumes. It took me a couple of evenings to get round to concocting a post for High-Rise, during which time I listened through his whole Bandcamp three or four times. I am suitably besotted with his sound. Have a listen to his latest release below.

Dibia$e has been working on some rather filthy new material ahead of a US album release tour. Looney Goons is comes out later next month, but you can pre-order it over at Fat Beats now or pick up a copy at one of his live shows. Luckily for those who can’t make it across to the US, Dibia$e put together a very loud sample mix. It’s free to download for a limited time only apparently, so best hit the button quick smart.
Don’t know about anyone else, but a Dibia$e, Knxwledge and Mndsgn European tour would suit me just fine right now…

the first release on wedidit comes courtesy of rl grime, with a seriously nice blend of styles. grapes alla vodka will make the dancefllor loose its’ shit but it’s grape’s subtler moments that made me click download. treadstone (nod to matt damon) and amphibian both smacking it. the ep is backed with remixes from the wedidit team - groundislava expanding minds as per usual. oh, and if you’re quick, you can get a tombstone patch.
so i’m only like 10 months late on this one, but this free release from dolor is kinda special. i copped (and enjoyed) the tape he made with lorn late last year, but some of the tracks on here are way better, ‘pull me in’ and ‘a chapel of velvet’ (which is a great name btw) in particular.
stream below and then click here for download
We mentioned Lee Bannon a couple of weeks back in anticipation of his latest instrumental project, the Caligula Theme Music EP. Well here it is, available in full to stream or download for the princely sum of $3.99. Look forward to big washy synths, detailed drum patterns and vocal snippets; all the hallmarks of this thing called cloud rap Grinel weaned me onto, combined into one well-executed package. Go get it.
